Efficiency improvement in polycrystalline silicon solar cell with grooved surface

Abstract
A surface grooving technique for realizing uniform low reflectance over polycrystalline silicon substrates has been developed. Lower surface reflectance is obtained by the adoption of a double-layer antireflection coating. The highest conversion efficiency has been achieved for a 10 cm-square polycrystalline silicon solar cell with a double-layer antireflection coating formed on the grooved surface.
