Abstract
The coastline of North Carolina [USA] occupies a biogeographically important sector of the Atlantic shore of the USA. The last comprehensive account of the seaweeds from this region is more than 50 yr old. In the intervening years the number of reported taxa of Rhodophyceae, Xanthophyceae, Phaeophyceae, Prasinophyceae and Chlorophyceae has grown from 123 to more than 300. This checklist summarizes the reports of the seaweeds from the biogeographically interesting and floristically rich North Carolina [USA] coast. This publication has 13 references indexed in Scilit:
