Abstract
This report for the academic year 1934-1935 includes either statistical data or editorial comment regarding the medical schools approved1by the Council on Medical Education and Hospitals during this period. Also included are revised lists of hospitals approved for internships and residencies in specialties and the Essentials of an Acceptable School of Occupational Therapy. Figures are presented covering seventy-seven medical schools in the United States and ten in Canada, 697 hospitals approved for internships and 392 hospitals offering approved residencies in specialties. These data are based on official reports from the institutions listed. Acknowledgment is tendered the officers of these institutions for their ready cooperation in supplying the facts included in this presentation as well as for other material furnished throughout the year enabling the Council to maintain its medical student and hospital registers efficiently.
