Abstract
The purpose of this study was to determine the effects of a hard endurance exercise program on the total serum cholesterol levels in young adult men. Four male subjects and four controls were tested for cholesterol prior to any exercise. The subjects participated in a 25-week training period of hard and severe all-out endurance type activities and then were again tested for cholesterol levels. Significances of change in the total serum cholesterol levels before and after exercise were determined, and in all subjects total serum cholesterol levels were significantly reduced. This publication has 1 reference indexed in Scilit:
