Abstract
The results of modelling the ASTER sensor using a general purpose sensor modelling system are presented. These results are discussed in the light of the authors experience with the SPOT-1 sensor system, also modelled using the same general purpose system. The utility of the system in modelling other sensors such as MEOSS, ASAS and MISR is also outlined. Keywords
