Abstract
In a search through the literature, I have been unable to find an account of a similar case; for this reason, and because of the demonstration of the specific cause in this instance, I am reporting the following: REPORT OF A CASE M. O., aged 38, married, a housewife, born in the United States, entered the Cornell Skin Clinic, Oct. 22, 1930. The personal and family histories were irrelevant, and the physical examination gave negative results except for the local condition. On the inner surface of each great toe and extending over a bunion on the metatarsophalangeal joint was a sharply circumscribed, oval, red, scaly, slightly oozing, eczematous patch, 3 by 1½ inches in diameter (fig. 1).
