Abstract
Almost 200 million people worldwide have type 2 diabetes.1 Coronary artery disease (CAD) is a major health concern and the leading cause of death in individuals with type 2 diabetes.2 CAD is often asymptomatic in these patients until the onset of myocardial infarction or sudden cardiac death.3 Type 2 diabetes is also widely recognized as a CAD risk equivalent.4Keywords
