Abstract
Streptomycin and dihydrostreptomycin given in doses of more than 1 g./day produce irreversible changes in both divisions of the 8th nerve in the majority of cases. Some such changes are produced on less than 1 g. daily. All cases receiving either of these drugs for more than 2 weeks should have vestibular and auditory studies before and after treatment. Keywords
