Abstract
Discrepancies between conventionally obtained times and the integrated continuous velocity curves are analyzed (Shell tool only). It is found that these discrepancies may be ascribed to a random scatter and a systematic deviation, the integrated continuous curves being short. Possible causes of these discrepancies are discussed but no final explanation can be offered. Keywords
