Abstract
1 H–{119Sn} and 1H–{13C}‘tickling’ experiments are used to show that the reduced coupling constant between the two tin atoms in hexamethylditin is positive, and an accurate value is obtained for its magnitude. Well resolved 119Sn INDOR spectra are presented, and the signs of other coupling constants in the molecule are determined. The effect of hybridization on the coupling constants is considered.
