Abstract
A standard procedure suitable for the quantitative appraisal of drug activity in blood-induced vivax malaria is descr. The close relationship between plasma quinine concn. and therapeutic response makes possible the quantitative appraisal of drug activity with a limited number of exptl. subjects. By means of this procedure, it was demonstrated that the quinine susceptibility of the erythrocytic phase of vivax malaria is a stable strain characteristic and that it is independent of the mode by which the malaria is transmitted. This publication has 2 references indexed in Scilit:
