Abstract
Sexual reproduction of Bonnemaisonia hamifera Hariot is the rule on the western coast of Brittany. Each spring the alga is luxuriant in the Molène Islands, indicating that optimum conditions for growth occur there. These conditions, which include a sandy substrate and frequently renewed clear water, seem to be essential for the maturation of the male and female organs of Bonnemaisonia hamifera on the coasts of Brittany. Keywords
