Real-Time Absorbance Ratio and Absorbance Difference Measurements Using Dual-Wavelength HPLC Detectors

Abstract
Optical designs of detectors which provide multichannel absorbance data are discussed. Methods of manipulating these data to obtain information in addition to total absorbance are described. Finally, absorbance ratio and absorbance difference techniques are applied to a poorly separated sample of PTH-amino acids to demonstrate the usefulness of these techniques for identifying and quantifying unresolved compounds.
