Abstract
Three hundred and two patients were operated under short anesthesia with baytinal and prophylactic i. v. administration of 1 amp. methlergometrine. Another group of 286 cases operated on by the usual method with abortion forceps and curettage served as a control group. A short description of the instruments and of the method of operation is given. The following advantages of vacuum aspiration up to the 3rd month are mentioned: smaller blood-loss, shorter duration, less pain and more gentle methods with smaller risks and less early- and late-damages.Keywords
