Effect of noradrenaline and isoprenaline on blood flow in the acutely ischaemic myocardium

Abstract
After acute coronary artery ligation in anaesthesized cats, the myocardial blood flow response to noradrenaline (though not to isoprenaline) was profoundly modified. Noradrenaline decreased flow in the ischaemic areas when infused intravenously up to 1 hr after ligation. This effect of noradrenaline might contribute initially to the size of a potentially ischaemic area.
