Abstract
Ca2+ uptake and ATPase activity of the sarcoplasmic reticulum (Ca2+ storage site in the cell) isolated from vascular smooth muscle of SHR [spontaneously hypertensive rats] aorta were studied. The findings were compared with those in NR [normotensive rats] in an attempt to determine the mechanism of development of hypertension. This publication has 7 references indexed in Scilit:
