Abstract
Four new systems of emission bands of S2 were observed in the region 1760–2125 A. All of them appeared as transitions of the Σ—Σ type. Three of them have no relation to known states and are explained as due to transitions from three upper states at about 7.5 ev to a single lower state at about 1 ev of energy both measured from the ground state. The fourth system is due to a transition from a Σ state at 7.05 ev to the ground state. The weak bands of the transitions C—X and D—X were also observed and compared with the absorption data. Keywords
