Abstract
A 48-year-old woman with the classical features of longstanding rheumatoid arthritis acutely developed a diffuse cerebral disease. Angiograms showed extensive cerebral vasculitis, and CT scan demonstrated cerebral oedema and haemorrhage. Her clinical state, EEG and CT scan rapidly returned to normal following treatment with corticosteroids. Keywords
