Abstract
Student motivation can have a significant impact on the classroom atmosphere in information literacy courses. The authors survey the education literature that has addressed methods for enhancing motivation and also report from their own experiences. The ARCS Motivation Model developed by John M. Keller serves as a foundation for four aspects of instruction that affect motivation.Keywords
