Studies on Plant Growth - Regulating Substances: IV. The Activity of Certain Aryloxy Acids for Inducing Rooting and for Tomato Setting

Abstract
A wide range of synthetic chemicals has been prepared and examined for activity in promoting the rooting of cuttings and for inducing seedless development of tomato fruits. In rooting experiments, both tomato leaves and privet cuttings were used as test material. The results are examined and it is shown that in the main they conform to suggestions, previously put forward concerning growth-regulating activity in relation to chemical structure.
