Abstract
Psychologic stress was studied in relation to several variables: instructional set, sex, dental anxiety, and order of presentation of stressful and nonstressful stimuli. Verbal and autonomic measures were obtained from 64 subjects. Order of presentation had an important effect on autonomic response. Dental anxiety was clearly related to verbal evaluation but not to autonomic response. Keywords
