(Second of Two Parts)Renal DiseaseDespite many years of experience in the treatment of renal disease with cytotoxic agents and corticosteroids, it is at present impossible to arrive at definite conclusions because of the paucity of controlled therapeutic trials. It is discouraging to realize that the effect of any treatment on the long-term outcome of many forms of chronic renal disease remains unsubstantiated.
