Abstract
The growth rate of the instability in the lowbitron [Appl. Phys. Lett. 3 9, 845 (1981)]—the longitudinal wiggler beam interaction device—is shown to be enhanced significantly by the use of a coherently gyrophased electron beam. Keywords
