The Paschen-Back Effect. V. Theory of the Effect for Intermediate Coupling

General spectroscopic theory has been applied to the Paschen-Back effect and simplified methods developed for determining the positions of the energy levels and intensities of lines for cases of intermediate coupling. They are expressed in terms of $\mathrm{LS}$-coupling as the zero-order functions.
