Semi-spin-glass behavior in theCo2TiO4compound

Abstract
Magnetic and neutron-diffraction measurements show that the magnetic ground state of the insulating spinel Co2TiO4 consists of a ferrimagnetic longitudinal component and of a spin-glass transverse component. Two transitions are observed, TN for the ferrimagnetic component and TG for the spin-glass component. The spin-glass behavior below TG is discussed in detail and suggestions are made for the origin of the canting.
