Abstract
SUMMARY: Two experiments were carried out in which subcutaneous implants of thyroxine pellets were made into Soay sheep in autumn after the wool follicles had become inactive. This hormonal treatment failed to restore wool growth or to shorten the winter period of follicle inactivity.Keywords
