Abstract
Urinary excretion of estrogens in a male patient with an adrenal cortical tumor was studied by fluorimetric analysis of ether extracts fractionated by counter current distr. (24 tubes), using 50% methanol: CCl4 1:1. In 250 ml. of urine, 34.5 [mu]g. of free estriol was found. After hydrolysis, (HC1, 30 min.) 68.5 [mu]g. of estrone, 18.4 [mu]g. of estradiol and 857 mg. of estriol were recovered from the same urine. Another specimen of urine contained 29.0 mg. of pregnane-3(alpha)-20-(alpha) diol per liter. Keywords
