Abstract
A simple two step synthesis of the salts M[(C5H5)Co{P(0)(OC2H5)2}3], M = Li, Na, K, Ag, NH4, NMe4 is described. The air stable, diamagnetic anion reacts as a tridentate 0,0,0-chelating ligand with all main group III elements. With sodium tetraphenylborate the cage-like cationic complex [(C5H5)Co{[P(0)(OC2H5)2]3BPh}]+ is obtained. With M(III) = Al,Ga, In, Tithe trinuclear sandwich compounds [{(C5H5)Co[P(0)(OC2H5)2]3}2M]+ are formed, which contain MO6 octahedra. With M(III) = TI a coupling constant 6J(T10P0CCH) = 1.0 Hz is observed.
