Abstract
Contemporary psychology is suffering from an empirical overload which defies our scientific understanding. While scientific advancement requires a sound observational foundation, it also requires integrating theory. Psychology has not yet achieved full scientific stature; but it has matured sufficiently to readmit the arm-chair, including the deliberation of philosophical issues as well as attempts to evolve theoretical structures. Keywords
