Abstract
The course of 30 patients with documented primary hypertension established prior to 25 years of age, has been described. Eight died after a mean survival period of 21 years; 22 are still alive after an average period of observation of 20 years. These results do not support the view that the disorder is necessarily more severe when it is contracted in youth. Keywords
