Anesthesia, Sleep Paralysis, and Physostigmine

Abstract
A case is reported in which an episode of sleep paralysis occurred in recovery from anesthesia. Physostigmine was used for therapy. Undiagnosed sleep paralysis may be the antecedent cause of unexplained postoperative depression more frequently than previously expected.
