Analysis of coaxial-line to radial-line junction with dielectrically sheathed post by finite-difference time-domain method

Abstract

The finite-difference time-domain (FD-TD) method is used to analyse two different configurations of a coaxial-line to radial-line junction with a dielectrically sheathed post. Results obtained for the reflected voltages at the junction are Fourier-transformed to yield the reflection coefficient. Experimental measurements are performed on the coaxialline to radial-line junction and show excellent agreement with the FD-TD results.
