Abstract
Fetal lung maturity was assessed in 486 consecutive elective cesarean deliveries. Cases (247) met the ultrasound criterion of a biparietal diameter of 9.2 cm or a grade III placenta. All patients were screened for diabetes. There was 1 case of hyaline membrane disease. This approach thus reflects fetal lung maturity in 99.6% of patients. This publication has 2 references indexed in Scilit:
