Stability of relativistic nuclear matter against pion condensation

Abstract
Shows that the interference between pseudovector and pseudoscalar pi N interactions can ensure the stability of relativistic nuclear matter against pion condensation in a rather wide density region up to rho m=1.37 fm-3=7.2 rho 0 where rho 0=0.19 fm-3 is the ground-state density in the Walecka mode (1974).Keywords
