Abstract
One hundred and eleven New Zealand and introduced populations of Phalaris were tested for productivity, habit, leaf width, and head emergence. The possibility of adaptation within some New Zealand populations is discussed. The performance of populations from Portugal, Morocco, and Argentina shows they should be further studied for use in breeding a cultivar for New Zealand agriculture. Keywords
