Abstract
A physically acceptable order parameter is identified for the description of magnetic superconductors. Then, in a physically transparent manner, a correct Ginzburg-Landau free-energy functional is derived for electromagnetic effects in magnetic superconductors. In particular, the effect of the spatial variation of the magnetization is consistently included, as well as the effect of the sample shape. Keywords
