Abstract
A simplified technic with low operative mortality is described for partial hepatectomy in rats with fatty livers. The left lateral and median lobes of the liver were removed through a dorsal incision. In rats with enlarged livers, due to fatty infiltration, the relation of the wts. of the various lobes to one another and to the total liver wt. was similar to that in normal rats. Keywords
