Abstract
A quantitative assessment of bulk chalcogenide glass material properties was conducted for the As-S, As-Se, As-Se-Te, Ge-As-Se, and Ge-As-Te glass systems. The promising glass candidates were subsequently drawn into optical fibers by the crucible technique, and fiber attenuation losses were measured at wavelengths of He:Ne and CO2 laser sources. Keywords
