Abstract
Statistical properties of monochromatic, polarized speckle patterns were studied experimentally. The intensity correlation function, the probability density of the spatial derivative of the intensity, and the average number of level crossings of the intensity were measured. The results are compared with theory and a high measuring accuracy obtained using lock-in detection. Keywords
