Abstract
Case managers face special challenges in working with elderly clients who need long-term care. To meet these challenges they require population-specific training in understanding clients, analyzing the service environment, and in mastering techniques of case management. Ongoing support and supervision is also an essential aspect of good case management practice. Keywords
