Abstract
To the Editor: Case 46–1980 (November 20) describes a patient whose clinical course was characterized by asthma and hypereosinophilia, and in whom biopsy of the lung revealed eosinophilic pneumonitis and pleuritis as well as angiitis with eosinophilic infiltration of the vascular walls. The pathological discussion excluded the diagnosis of allergic granulomatosis because of the absence of necrotizing granulomas in the lung tissue obtained by biopsy, and the discussers emphasized the clinical similarity to the cases reported by Dr. Joseph Harkavy under the title of "vascular allergy." We would like to point out that the lung is not the best place . . .
