Abstract
In D. melanogaster the spontaneous-mutation rate at loci where visible mutants arise is about one order of magnitude larger in males than in females. So large a sex difference in mutability in Drosophila makes it imperative to investigate the question of whether a similar difference exists in other species, including the human.Keywords
