A 49-year-old woman with metastatic bronchogenic carcinoma and concurrent hyperkeratosis (tylosis) of the palms and soles is presented along with a 58-year-old man who had metastatic esophageal carcinoma and similar skin lesions. Though the association of hereditary keratodermia and carcinoma of the esophagus has been well documented, these are the first case reports of sporadic occurrences. Acquired tylosis appears to be another cutaneous manifestation of internal malignancy.
