Abstract
In field tests with young woody erosion-control plants, no marked beneficial effects were found in the initial survival or initial growth rate by adding Vitamin B1 in water (in conc, of 0.05 mg per 1. of water) to the soil surrounding the plants. The data on survival given suggest that added Vitamin B1 may have had, under the conditions of the expt., an adverse effect on the survival of some of the spp. tested.
