Abstract
Heparin and low molecular mass heparin (LMMH) consists of complex mixtures of sulphated linear oligosaccharides that are difficult to analyse. An on-line size exclusion chromatographic/electrospray ionization (ESI) mass spectrometric method that allows the determination of more than 60 components in an LMMH preparation is presented. The experimental setup includes on-line cation exchange in order to prevent massive adducting in the ESI interface. Copyright © 2004 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.Keywords
