Trace Elements Related to Cardiovascular Disease

Abstract
Two possible relationships between cardiovascular disease and trace elements have been suggested: (1) Studies on human patients and on laboratory animals reveal what may be a causal role for cadmium in hypertension. (2) Comparison of death rates and hardness of drinking water have revealed a statistically significant negative correlation between hardness of water and death rates due to cardiovascular diseases.
