Abstract
It is difficult to repair the central or middle slip of the extensor expansion. The strong pull of the superficial tendon always tends to stretch any repair. The superficial tendon has been used to repair the middle slip by leading it from its attachment to the dorsum of the bone to replace the damaged middle slip. At the same time this removes the deforming force and repairs the extending force. Keywords
