Abstract
In this paper, the behavior of a complex system having two types of components is examined with regard to Dependability [1]. The Laplace transforms of various probabilities for the general case have been obtained and from this, for some particular cases, the probabilities that the system is operating under normal efficiency, reduced efficiency or in the failed state are deduced. In the end, the behavior of the system under steady state has been examined. It may be remarked that the supplementary variable technique [3], [4] has been employed to solve the problem. Keywords
