Nontriviality of spontaneously broken λtheories

Abstract
By using nonperturbative functional methods it is argued that λ theories, undergoing spontaneous symmetry breaking, are asymptotically free. Comparison with Hamiltonian methods and with results previously obtained by different authors is presented.
