Abstract
This study showed in A. laidlawii the possibility of transformation and fusion of protoplasts after induction by polyethylene glycol. Recombination in a genome coding for resistance to chloramphenicol and neomycin was obtained. Minimal inhibitory concentrations of these antibiotics for the recombinant strain were identical to those for the parental strains. The most suitable experimental conditions were determined. Fusion, which is carried out more easily than the transformation, led to a higher frequency of recombination. This publication has 9 references indexed in Scilit:
